And usually, it&amp;rsquo;s because your IR lamps aren&amp;rsquo;t playing fair.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;h2 id=&#34;why-your-heat-is-lying-to-you&#34;&gt;Why your heat is lying to you&lt;/h2&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;Here&amp;rsquo;s the thing: most cheap IR lamps are a mess. They have &amp;ldquo;hot spots&amp;rdquo; and &amp;ldquo;cold zones&amp;rdquo; all along the quartz tube.&#xA;In a glass bead oven, those little fluctuations create uneven heat.
