If you want that feeling of stepping outside in January and feeling like it’s a breezy spring afternoon, you can’t have a laggy system. You need a bridge between your smart home hub and the heater that just works. The nitty-gritty of the hardware Most of these outdoor heaters use short-wave infrared. Instead of trying to warm up the entire backyard (which is a losing battle), they heat you and your furniture directly. But here’s the thing: these aren’t like turning on a lamp. You’re dealing with a massive amount of power. To keep things safe, we use heavy-duty relays or smart breakers. They handle that initial surge of electricity when the heater kicks in so you don’t blow a fuse the second you want to get warm. Setting it up for real life The goal is one-touch warmth.
